Our Story
Picture this—it’s 2012
A Facebook friend request is sent. Two uni halls housemates become friends. Quickly. Very quickly.
Fast forward to 2014
Iain heads to Amsterdam for what was meant to be a year. He loves it so much… he stays.
Cut to 2017
Kelly boards a one-way flight from Luton Airport to join him.
Since then, we’ve shared a few apartments, a handful of jobs, much fun on many holidays, two very gorgeous and loved cats, and one very sweaty proposal at the top of Pidurangala Rock in Sri Lanka.
Now, we’re continuing our story and becoming Mr & Mrs Kettles on 21st February 2026, in the city we call home, with all of you there to celebrate with us.

Time
Please arrive by
1:00 PM
We ask that you arrive by 1:00 PM, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 1:30 PM.
Reception
After we say "I do," we’ll ease into the afternoon with cocktails and canapés, followed by a delicious dinner and an evening of dancing.
We’ll wrap up the celebrations at midnight!
The Next Day
In case we don’t get to have a good ol’ chat with all of you on the day and if you’re at a loose end for an hour we’re having drinks at our local pub—The Kiwi.
We’ll be set up there from 2pm-6pm if you want to swing by for a hello, a hair of the dog or a few bevs.
Honeymoon
After the wedding, we’ll be jetting off for a mix of adventure and some much-needed rest and relaxation.
Your presence at our wedding is more than enough, but if you would like to contribute to our honeymoon, you can do so here:

Questions
What should I wear?
To let our bridal party shine, we kindly ask guests to avoid wearing solid ruby red, sapphire blue, or emerald green. Subtle touches - prints, patterns, or accessories in those jewel tones - are absolutely fabulous. Otherwise, wear whatever makes you feel happy and comfortable… and don’t forget shoes you can dance in!
What should I bring?
Just yourselves, your appetite, and your dancing feet. Your presence means the world to us.
If you'd like to give a gift, we’d love a contribution to our honeymoon fund.
Can we bring the kids?
We love your kiddos and they’re very welcome to join the celebration!
But we also understand if you’d prefer a night off. Your kids, your choice, your responsibility.
